Sami Zayn was out on SmackDown and still claimed to be the real Intercontinental Champ. Zayn got really mad at the production crew because they didn't mention that he was champion. He wanted to do his entrance once more but Jeff Hardy, the real Intercontinental champion interrupted him.
Sami and Jeff were arguing in the ring when AJ Styles came out. Styles wanted a shot at the title as well and attacked Jeff. Sami was helping AJ but Styles turned on him. Jeff recovered and took AJ out before Sami hit the Helluva kick on him and ran away on SmackDown.
